DAY 01 : ARRIVAL TO VARANASI (DINNER)
Arrive Varanasi and welcome by our represent officer at Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Varanasi Hotel.
Day 02 : SARANATH TEMPLE / VARANASI-BODHGAYA > 5.5 hrs (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
AM visit Saranath, where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after attaining enlightenment and becoming a Buddha. After gaining Enlightenment, Sakyamini traveled 250 kilometers from Bodhgaya to Varanasi seeking his five companions who had abandoned him at Rajgir. He found them at a deer park of Saranath. After Lunch, drive to Bodhgaya, on arrival check-into The Hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.
DAY 03 : BODHGAYA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Morning visit Mahabodhi Temple for Danna/Religious activities. Later visit various temples in Bodhgaya, Here in about 500 BC, Lord Buddha sat beneath a Bodhi Tree to meditate, vowing to get up only if he attained supreme enlightenment. Visit Mahabodhi Temple stands in the center crowned by a pointed spire flanked by four corner turrets. A chamber on top houses a figure of Mayadevi, the Buddha’s mother. Outside in the sunken courtyard stands the fifth generation Bodhi Tree. Seven spots within the temple are sacred because it was at each of these spots spent a week meditating after attaining Enlightenment. Also, visit Great Buddha Statue & other Buddhist Temples from different countries. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.
DAY 04 : BODHGAYA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Today proceed to visit Dungeshwari Caves & Sujta Temple. Evening you may revisit the Mahabodhi temple. Overnight stay at Gaya.
DAY 05 : BODHGAYA – RAJGIR / NALANDA / VAISHALI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER) 5 + 3 HOURS EN-ROUTE VISIT
After breakfast, leave for Bodhgaya, via visiting Rajgir/Nalanda. Rajgir, which was formerly known as Rajagriha (literally abode of kings). Prince siddhartha, after renouncing his royal heritage came here to seek the path to salvation. Visit Griddhakuta Hill, where in the rock-cut caves Buddha spent time meditating. Also visit World Peace Stupa built on top of the hill & visit ruins of Bimbisar Jail. Enjoy hot Lunch & thereafter visit the mostrenowned University in ancient India. Admissions were extremely coveted, and only two out of ten eminent scholars was admitted. Evacuations have yielded nine levels of occupation; temples and monasteries all built in red brick. Within the University compound, also visit Stupa of Sariputra, one of the chief disciple of Lord Buiddha. Later continue drive to Patna, on arrival check in at The Hotel. Dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 06 : VAISHALI – KUSHINAGAR (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER) 8 HRS EN-ROUTE VISIT
Morning drive to Kushinagar. En route visit Vaishali, where five years after his enlightenment, Budha was received here by the Lichchavi nobility. Vaishali was one of the first republican states in the world it was in Vaishali that women were for the first time ordained into the Sangha. Later continue drive to Kushinagar, on arrival check in at The Royal Residency. Later visit Kushinagar, where Buddha chose to leave his corporeal body at the Sal grove on the banks of the Hiranyavati River. Visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple, which stands amidst a serene Sal grove, as if still reminiscing of the great demise. It enshrines a six-meter long statue of the Buddha in the Parinirvana posture. Evacuated in 1876 AD is a momentous sight. Also visit Rambhar Stupa – where Lord Buddha was cremated. Dinner & overnight.
DAY 07 : KUSHINAGAR – LUMBINI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER) 5 + 2 HRS INDIA/NEPAL BORDER FORMALITIES
After breakfast, drive to Lumbini (NEPAL), stop at the India/Nepal board for the visa/immigration formalities. Lumbini being in Nepal, formalities of the India/Nepal Immigration have to be completed (Require Single Entry Visa for Nepal and Double Entry for India). On arrival, check in at hotel Redsun/Nirvana/New Crystal. After Lunch, proceed to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of prince Siddhartha, visit Mayadevi temple, sacred Mayadevi Pond, where Buddha’s mother took the ritual dip prior to his birth. Also visit Ashoka Piller which signifies the spot where Buddha was born. Dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 08 (11 OCT): LUMBINI-KAPILAVASTU-SRAVASTI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER) 7 + 1 HRS EN-ROUTE VISIT
After breakfast, drive to Sravasti. enroute visit Kapilavastu has an important place in the life of Buddha. It was in Kapilvastu where Buddha decided to leave worldly pleasures and decided to look at life in a new perspective. Later continue onto Sravasti, on arrival check-in at hotel Pawan Palace/Lotus Nikko/Sravasti Residency. After Lunch, visit Sravasti, where Lord Buddha spent 24 monsoons meditating & preaching to the assembled audiences here the Buddha taught Dhamma and gave discourses. Visit the various monasteries including Anand Bodhi tree, a sampling of the original Bodhi tree in AnaradhapuraSri Lanka was planted by Ananda, a student of Buddha. In Sravasti the Master expounded a major part of the Tripitakas, and performed the only miracle of his life in response to a challenge from six non-believers. The Lord levitated on a thousand petal led lotus, causing fire and water to leap out of his body and multiplied his person in the air. Also visit ruins of Angulimal caves and Sri Lankan Temple. Dinner & overnight.
DAY 09 : SRAVASTI – SANKASIA-AGRA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER) > 15 HRS + 1.5 HRS EN-ROUTE VISIT
Early morning 4.00 AM leave for Agra (with pack Lunch) en-route visit Sankasia & later continue drive to Agra & on arrival check-into your hotel Amar/The Royale Residency. Overnight stay at Sankasia.
DAY 10 : AGRA – DELHI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER) 4.5 HRS DRIVE
Morning visit world famous Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shah- Jehan for his Empress Mumtaz Mahal & drive past massive Agra Fort. After early Lunch, drive to Delhi and visit Delhi Museum, check-into your hotel Almondz / Tulip Inn Essential. Rest of the day free for shopping. Overnight.
DAY 11 : DELHI – COLOMBO (BREAKFAST) BY AI-283 ETD 2225 HRS
After breakfast transfer to airport to connect your flight to home.
