DAY 01 – ARRIVE COCHIN – MUNNAR
Met on arrival at Cochin airport & straight drive to this beautiful Hill station of Munnar. Check-in at Abad Cooper Castle. Munnar is responsible for a good portion of south India’s tea production. It is a nature lover’s paradise, a picture book town with winding lanes and heady fragrance of fresh tea. It is 1800 meters above sea level and has the highest peak in South India – Anamudi. Evening time permitting visit Munnar Town.
DAY 02 – MUNNAR – KUMARAKOM
Morning Visit Mattupetty Reservoir & Dam (Optional Boat Ride at own extra costs), Eco Point, drive past Tea plantations, Visit Tea Museum & Munnar Town. Afternoon drive to Kumarakom, the backwaters area. Check-into Abad Whispering Palms. Relax in this beautiful serene backwater area located on the banks of famous Vembanand lake with picturesque surroundings. You may try the famous Ayurvedic Spa / Massage at your resort at own costs. Overnight at your resort.
DAY 03 – KUMARAKOM – HOUSEBOAT – ALLEPPEY
Morning free to relax, this afternoon board your private A/C Bedroom Houseboat for a cruise on backwaters. (A/C operates in Bedroom from 9 PM to 7 AM). The complex network of lagoons, lakes, rivers and canals fringing the coast of Kerala forms the basis of a distinct regional lifestyle. Enjoy a cruise on the emerald palm fringed backwaters of Kerala. Meals & Overnight on board your Houseboat.
DAY 04 – ALLEPPEY – COCHIN
Morning enjoy another short cruise & check-out after Breakfast at 9.30 AM, then transfer to Cochin. Check-into Abad Plaza. Visit St. Francis Church, the oldest European built church in India, constructed in 1503 by Portugues San Franciscan friars. In 1779 the Protestant Dutch replaced original wooden building with stone masonry. Later walk around the Jew Street & visit Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Fri/Sat), built in 1568 AD, and is the oldest in the common-wealth. It was destroyed by the Portuguese in 1662, but rebuilt by the Dutch 2 years later. It is adorned by hundreds of blue and white hand-painted tiles. Visit 1555 Portuguese built Mattancherry Palace which was gifted to Maharaja of Kochi as a good-will gesture to ensure trade privileges. The Palace is now a Museum (Friday Closed). Continue to giant Chinese Fishing nets at the harbor’s entrance that silhouetted against sunset, present a magnificent sight of the water-front. Overnight hotel.
DAY 05 – COCHIN
After Breakfast, day for shopping, your hotel is located on the famous M.G.Road, shopping area, to walk around on own. Enjoy some great shopping!! Overnight Abad Plaza.
DAY 06 – COCHIN – DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, transfer in time to Cochin airport for your return flight.
